Google I/O - 5/15/13

At the Google I/O conference, we met some more of the Glass Explorers and also discussed the experiences that those Explorers have had with their Glass Explorers Edition. Please click here to watch the video that we captured.

Our <Hands-on> - 4/22/13

We got a hands-on look at the Explorer Edition. Please click here to watch the video we captured of it.

I <used> Glass. - 2/23/13

Today, I used Google Glass for the first time. I don't have to share much but below is a one or two thoughts...
Twelve days after we completed our documentary and feature (which is on this site), I got to experience Glass for the first time. It was just like the video from 2/20/13 by Google. One key difference between the video and today was that today's display was a lot brighter. Our mockup we used for the documentary is very similar to the Glass Explorers Edition but the additional screw and microphone on the arm were recently added to the Glass Explorers Edition (see images below feature). U.I. design is again very similar to the video from 2/20/13. I learned a lot from this first experience with Glass and will continue to update this feature, if announcements occur.

<Explore> - 2/11/13

The growth of Project Glass has been tremendous. The device itself has been very attractive to consumers because of how it is always on you but is still out of your way when you don't want it. Of course, if  you are carrying around a prototype of the Glass Explorers Edition, you are most likely consistently using it. At this point, all Glass users that own a Glass device are Google[x] employees and maybe a developer or two who attended a Google event.

Wearing our Glass mockup has been an incredible experience. The device is beautiful and simple. In the coming months when Glass rolls out to developers, we will see a new phase from Google in design. Google’s only flagship hardware product so far has been Nexus Q, which was removed from the Play Store a few months after launch.  Will Glass make it for prime time before other head mounted displays or body mounted devices?

<Update> - 2/20/13

Google made an announcement today about application based pre-orders for creatives.

@ebstudioslive Love your enthusiasm and it's cool that you modeled your own. One note on fitting, Glass sits just above the line of sight.
